fostering creativity and innovation through printmaking
Firestation Print Studio Mission Statement
The Firestation Print Studio supports and promotes the art of making original prints. Creativity is vital to our culture and society, and we aim to inspire both individuals and the community by fostering excellence and innovation in the practice of printmaking.
Background
Established in the early nineties, the Firestation Print Studio is a not-for-profit organisation, run by a committee of volunteer artists, a two part-time staff; the Gallery Coordinator and the Workshop Manager. Supported of the City of Stonnington from its very inception, the Firestaton Print Studio is housed in a Stonninton council building and is an integral part of the cultural life of Stonnington.
Our Armadale venue houses a Print Gallery, an open-access, professional Print Studio, 8 Printmakers' Studio Spaces and offers a range of printmaking workshops and short courses, catering for beginners to advanced levels. Our services are generously priced in order to encourage participation by all who are interested in Fine Art Printmaking. We’re in it for the love of Printmaking, not the money!
